Dr. Abreu’s story took an unexpected turn when he, along with his family, had the opportunity to leave Cuba for Brazil. In Brazil, he practiced both General Medicine and General Surgery for three years before eventually making his way to the United States.

His diverse experiences, from practicing medicine in different countries to his various roles in research and clinical care, have equipped him with a unique perspective on the field of medicine.
